Privacy Policy
The short version: your plan is private to your account, we never see your card details, and we only collect what we need to make The Nest work for you.
Who we are
The Nest by Becca is operated by Off Script Becca (Rebecca Jardine), a business registered in New Zealand. You can contact us at hello@offscriptbecca.com about anything in this policy.
This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, where it is stored, and the rights you have under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
Account details: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and Google account identifier.
Plan information you enter: income figures, leave length, savings amounts, baby budget items, and any notes you add. This is information you choose to type into the calculator and Baby Budget list.
Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe shares with us your email, the amount paid, the date, and the tax calculated at checkout.
Email list: if you join our email list, we keep your email address and your choice to hear from us. If you do not tick the box, we do not add you to any list.
Technical information: basic usage and error logs that help us keep the site running.
Why we collect it
To create and secure your account, and to keep your plan private to you.
To save your plan and Baby Budget list so they are there when you come back.
To take payment, confirm your purchase, and give you lifetime access.
To generate personalised savings ideas when you ask for them. The numbers from your saved plan are sent to an AI model for that request only, and are not used to train anyone's models.
To send you marketing emails, but only when you have ticked the box asking us to.
To meet our New Zealand tax obligations. Stripe calculates and collects any applicable tax at checkout, and we keep the records we need to file and pay it.
Marketing emails
When you join our email list, you are signing up to receive marketing emails from The Nest by Becca, such as early bird reminders and money saving tips. We only add you to the list when you tick the box asking us to, so your consent is clear and on record.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email, or by replying to us at hello@offscriptbecca.com, and we will remove you from the list right away.
We never sell, rent or share your email address with anyone else.
Many of our followers are in the United Kingdom, so we follow the UK GDPR as well as the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. Your consent is freely given and specific, we only email you what we said we would, and you can withdraw your consent just as easily as you gave it.
Your email address is stored on secure cloud servers that may be outside New Zealand and the United Kingdom, and we protect it in line with both laws.
Where your information is stored
Your account and plan data are stored on secure cloud servers, which may be located outside New Zealand. Payments are processed by Stripe, which operates internationally. When information is sent overseas we take steps to make sure it stays protected in line with the Privacy Act 2020.
Your plan is never shown to anyone else. There are no public links to your plan, and we do not sell or share your personal information with advertisers.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and plan for as long as your account is active, so your lifetime access keeps working. Payment records are kept for the period required by New Zealand tax law.
You can ask us to delete your account and plan data at any time, and we will do so, except for the payment records we are legally required to keep.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it if it is wrong.
If you are in the United Kingdom, you also have rights under the UK GDPR, including the right to withdraw your consent to marketing emails at any time, and the right to object to direct marketing.
To make a request, email hello@offscriptbecca.com. If you are not happy with how we handle your request, you can complain to the New Zealand Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz. If you are in the UK you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and keep the site secure. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

If we change this policy we will update this page and note the date below. If the change is significant we will let you know by email.
